The QA Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, and following test plans; logging and verifying defects; executing tests; and ultimately ensuring the overall quality of TrueCar’s web properties.
Responsibilities
Ø Create, revise, and prioritize test plans
Ø Execute test scripts
Ø Report, update, and complete bug items in OnTime
Ø Track and review test results
Ø Perform daily manual testing
Ø Cross browser/platform testing
Ø Help coordinate QA tasks for each release cycle
Ø Review and follow specification documents
Ø Special projects as assigned
Skills, Knowledge & Education
Ø Bachelor degree in computer related field OR equivalent work experience
Ø 2 years of web application QA
Ø Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ø In depth experience with Windows operating systems, Internet Explorer, Firefox
Ø Familiarity with a bug tracking system
Ø Decent understanding of web protocols
Ø Knowledge of OnTime, VMWare/Parallels - a plus
Ø Knowledge at least one relational database and SQL - a plus
Ø Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Python, jUnit, jMeter, and/or jWebUnit - a plus
